Press Release Body = Amsterdam Printing saved a local food pantry from closing its
doors.

The Amsterdam Food Pantry was close to having to close its doors recently. Because
the holidays are often such a busy season, excessive numbers almost led the local
food provider becoming crippled with little resources to feed the needy people
coming to them for help. However, Amsterdam Printing came to rescue by sponsoring
its own food drive and charity.

information on Amsterdam Printing.

Providing help to close to 200 families a week, the Food Pantry was at a loss when
the printing company stepped in and collected 6,000 pounds of food and $1,000 for
the organization. Because the pantry was so close to disaster, they especially
appreciated the help offered by Amsterdam Printing.

Often, people do not know what to donate to a food drive, or instead give the things
that have been collecting dust in their pantries. On the other hand, Dayton King of
Amsterdam Printing told customers to make an effort to donate food they liked to
eat. With this approach, the people that went to the Food Pantry would be better
served with more enjoyable food.

Although holidays are typically a time of charity and giving, unfortunately, because
people have so many expenses during this time, they sometimes choose not to support
their local charities. However, some will make donations, but do so to more
nationalized or larger organizations, assuming that doing so will help more people.
Nevertheless, it is important to remember the small local charities, because even a
few weeks or months of fewer contributions could have devastating effects. If not
for the kindness and generosity of Amsterdam Printing, the Food Pantry would have
had to shut its doors. For this reason, smaller charities should not be forgotten
during the holiday season.
